A CONTEMPORARY TWIST ON A CLASSIC G&TDecember 20, 2018
It’s Friday night. The end of your hectic workweek has finally come to an end and you’re ready to sit back, put your feet up and binge watch your favorite Netflix series all types of editing round-the-clock source.
In my house, that usually means it’s time for Friday night G&T’s. I’ve always loved a good Gin and Tonic. They’re refreshing and versatile. Recently, my overgrown basil plant lead to the creation of the Blackberry and Basil G&T. Refreshing and fruity, the basil’s botanical aroma’s perfectly complement the juniper base of Gin.

The two levels of the cart provide ample space to mix your drinks and store your bottles for a clutter-free surface. Easy glide wheels allow you to move it from space to space. Place behind your sofa to create a new space or along a wall.
- 1 oz of your preferred gin
- 3-4 oz of your preferred tonic
- 3-4 fresh basil leaves
- 2-3 fresh blackberries
Place your blackberries into the bottom of your glass, and use a muddler or fork to squish them into a paste. Add in 2 basil leaves and muddle again to release the fragrance. Add your ice and measure 1 oz of gin and 3oz of tonic in your glass. Give a stir and place the remaining basil leaves on top for garnish. Sit back, relax and enjoy!
virgin blackberry & Basil soda
- 4 oz of your preferred tonic water
- 3 drops of old fashioned bitters
- 2-3 blackberries
- 2-3 leaves of fresh basil
Place your blackberries and bitters into the bottom of your glass, and use a muddler or fork to squish them into a paste. Add in 2 basil leaves and muddle again to release the fragrance. Add your ice and fill your glass up with tonic. Give a stir and place the remaining basil leaves on top for garnish. Sit back, relax and enjoy!
